Freezer problem

I have an APM6855 50:50 integrated fridge freezer which was already in the house when we purchased it over a year ago. I think it came with the kitchen that the previous owners had installed a number of years ago.
The freezer section is unable to hold it's temperature properly. So every day or so the alarm goes off, I then turn it off by holding the super button but this only works for a day and then the alarm goes off again. At the moment the temperature says it is -7 but the freezer never completely loses it's temperature and is sometimes showing lower than this (-10). Is it likely that this is fixable for £100 or less or is it just worth buying a new fridge freezer?
Any help/advice gratefully received!
Thanks!

Has the freezer got adequate airflow around the back of it/ It may be in was installed without allowing for decent venting causing these issues.0

I have a different fridge freezer and the alarm was doing the same thing. Turned out it wasn't ventilated enough (I had put a pile of stuff on the top of the vent - opps) and the vent needed a good hoover. Works fine now. Hope it is that simple for you.
ALso have you got a manual, or can you find one online. They often have a troubleshooting section that maybe able to shed some light on it...Debt 1 - Loan £10K (minimum payment £145)

Thanks for the replies. It does appear to have adequate ventialtion but I will try and improve it. The manual is not a great help really - very small amount of information and nothing that is useful.

Is it a conventional freezer or a frost-free one? If it's ff, take out a drawer and check to see if there is actually a build-up of ice . If so, try a total defrost.
Had a similar problem recently and it would need a new fan/heater and thermostat to fix. The engineer warned me that all the food needed to be eaten asap as the defrost cycle was thawing and refreezing food and only food kept at -18 degrees was safe long-term."Cheap", "Fast", "Right" -- pick two.0 -
Thanks ka7e. Did they tell you how much that repair would cost approximately?0

Sorry, no. It was to be done under warranty but they cannot get the parts so I'm due a replacement!"Cheap", "Fast", "Right" -- pick two.0
