Literally last minute flights

If I want to fly within the next 24-28 hours and am really not that choosy about where I went, where would be the best place for me to find a flight?
I'm guessing that cheap stuff might be avaliable at such short notice, as airlines seek to fill seats,
Has anyone got any experience of booking flights at such short notice - where should I look?
