Lloyds and one late payment

Hello,
I had a Silver Account with Llodys which I downgraded to a Current Account when I opened a Premier Account with Barclays. I transferred the money from Lloyds to Barclays and since then I haven't used the old account. I totally forgot about the last 12£ fee and my Lloyds account was overdrawn. Lloyds didn't send one single letter and as I didn't use the account I didn't notice. I applied last night for an Apple loan for a mac and got provisionally accepted but this morning my application was rejected. I checked my credit report and saw that there was one late payment from LLoyds. I then checked my online statement, saw the overdrawn balance which was not only the £12 but also the overdraft charges and I transferred the money from my Barclays account. I am now wondering how long this late payment (yellow) will be in my credit file.
Thanks,
N

It will be there for as long as you have the account open, even if you close the account it will still show for 6 years afterwards until it drops off your credit file.
I'm not sure 1 late payment would make that much difference to be honest. They may have looked at your overall credit available to balance used i.e. if you have credit accounts with others, credit cards and what your using, if your paying in full or just paying the minimum amount. Then decided from there that you may be over committed and not pay back the loan.
I understand that Apple UK use Barclays Partner Finance as there credit provider. Any information that Barclays hold about you may also have effected there decision too.Time is a path from the past to the future and back again. The present is the crossroads of both. :cool:0
