Advice required on a £3000 purchase

So I want to but some electrical goods totalling 3k. At the moment I have an M&S card with a £4k limit and has £1500 to be paid off.

Now I could just buy the equipment on my current card, once I pay of some more of it, which I could do now. But that seems silly!

I am after some advice on what the best way to do this would be. Ideally a new card that I could transfer the £1500 balance too and use to purchase my equipment.

I would be able to make monthly payments of about £150 - £200 as I am also putting money away in an ISA.

So before I go ahead and make the purchase I thought I would ask in here for best options.

Thanks

Save up the money and buy the gadgets when you can afford them.

I had a tesco card in the last few years which I have paid off and chopped up. Used that to get married!

Ask M&S to increase your limit by £500?

I did ask for an increase earlier in the year but they said this was not an option. I’m assuming as the 0% on purchases ends in September.

You could see if you could get a 22mnth bt card, hopefully get a bigger limit... transfer what you have on m&s at the moment then when the int free finishes on the m&s in september do the rest. i know the halifax card you can transfer at any time within the 22 months rather than the first 90days :) xxx

Well I'm with Halifax for all my stuff like current account and mortgage etc. So maybe I will go and ask them, I'm fairly new to CC's so if I get another card with x amount of 0% on purchases can I just xfer the amount on the M&S card at a fee obviously then start paying off the total on the new card and chop up M&S card?
