*Help Student Music Piracy Questionnaire*

    Just out of curiosity if someone tells you that they are participating in an illegal activity whilst you are doing the research then dont you have an obligation to tell someone about it. :confused:
    Funnily enough we were discussing this at uni today in relation to ethical considerations for our dissertations next year.

  • Just wanted to say this with regards to the survey topic: with itunes for example, the total cost of downloading an album is hardly cheaper than buying a cd - and then for a hard copy, I'd have to burn it onto a cd anyway (and print album artwork if I wanted it). Also, itunes downloads take quite a long time - so it's actually cheaper and quicker for me to own a copy of an album to go to the shops and buy a copy. So I still buy cds over downloads wherever possible. But this decision has nothing at all to do with whether downloads are legal or not.
