I am Redundant

Options
Hi Guys

This is a strange one, i came on this board because as of 12th july i was made redundant, i came on to see roughly how long my redundancy money will take.

Now i am seeing they deduct job seekers etc from your pay? bit confused as to why.

My situation is this, i was made redundant, but now am self employed, i do not wish to go on jsa, i have received a letter with how much to expect, for the last 2 months i was on gardening leave, my last payday is tuesday, i am self employed and have put in a claim for housing benefit, i will probably make just a little less than job seekers in the first 2 months, but as long as i am not on jsa thats fine, i was on it before i got this job which i was doing for nearly 7 years, it was the most depressing time of my life, so i will not be going there again.

So redundancy really takes 9-10 weeks? was hoping it would be included in my last pay tbh.

If you have been on garden leave the it looks like the company is paying this so there should be no reductions

What did they say they would pay you?
should have been itemised as part of the redunancy
    pay
    redundancy
    accrued untaken holidays

    hiya.

When we first agreed on redundancy, 31st may, a few days later i got a letter telling me my redundancy amout, that was all, havent had a final payslip yet, p45, details of accrued holidays, i thought that all came with last payslip, which im expecting anyday now to be honest.

When i had my final hr meeting, they did say i would be paid up until 12th july ands paid any accrued holiday, but havent heard anything about that yet.

wait for the pay and the pay slip if it does not add up go back to them

Always work out your pay and holidays due seperately to check what actualy gets paid.

hiya, thanks for that, the reason i am confused, because at the same time we tuped to another company, i had 2.5 days left with other company and am owed may,jun and up to the 12th july on this other company, i was getting 27 days a year, so im not sure, i have worked it out to be about 8 and a half days owed, plus my p45 wasnt turned into the other company in time, so i was emergency taxed for 2 months, they have my p45 now, so hopefully i will get the right pay.

Will not be possible to have any chance of helping without the full(very full) details.

Ask for a full breakdown of all payments.

why have you not asked allready since you were not sure?

Holidays are prorata on the full timers and 27 is less that the statutory minimum I suspect there are some BH some where.
