Been invited to a posh-ish wedding.
Im not sure whether to wear something on my head. I dont like hats, was thinking maybe a fascinator, or a flower, or even a sparkly slide. Do you expect your guests to wear something on their heads?
Thank You :j

I'm just packing to go to my fiancee's brother's wedding, it's a smart wedding but I'm wearing a small flower on a hairclip. I've short hair, and hats or big fascinators don't suit me.0

I suppose you could say my wedding will be pretty posh but I don't give a flying fig what people wear on their heads (if anything). As long as they are there having fun, and look vaguely presentable I'll be happy!
I'd say in your case a fascinator or big hair slide would do the trick. Have fun!

I personally don't like hats and I feel silly with fascinators so I would go with the sparkly clip, or nothing and just wear a flower on my dress.0

I would wear what you feel comfortable in...if thats a hat then wear a hat if thats a simple flower or clip then use that....and if you dont want to wear anything thats fine too.....
If the bride has any form of dress code for the wedding then You will find that out if you dont already know of it....or indeed if there is a particular "policy" ie no children the it will usually state that somewhere in the wedding information you receive with your invite....
In the absence of any specific instructions just go with what you are happy with....as a bride I didnt mind either way if someone wore a hat or not...but I would have minded if someone felt they had to wear a hat or didnt come to the wedding because of not knowing what to wear.frugal October...£41.82 of £40 food shopping spend for the 2 of us!

Eek that's a bit harsh double mummy! Will you be informing the guests of this prior to the event?!0 -
At a wedding I attended last weekend I ended up wearing a tie on my head, seemed like a good idea at the time.
Damn you Sambuca

I don't like hats and my hair is too short for a fascinator to clip into, so I had a nice sparkly headband instead, so didn't feel as 'naked' as everyone else had something on their bonces!'' Ok Marge, if anyone asks, you require 24-hour nursing care; Lisa's a clergyman; Maggie is seven people and Bart was wounded in Vietnam ''0
