about 2 years ago i applied for a ccg for 2 items and was awarded a little amount for one thing i wanted but not the other..
i put in an appeal but never heard anything back
a year later i applied again for the other item but was told i had been awrded money for the item last year..
all i can think is that the appeal was succesfull and the money for the other item was put into my old bank account{i did write to them at the time saying if appeal succesfull that i have a new bank account of which i gave them details].
i went to bank today and asked about my old bank account and they told me they cannot find it so it must have been closed .
i also done the online bank search thing and they said they cannot find any old bank account in my name.
so if there was money in there belonging to me then it looks like i have lost it
but i just wondered if i phoned the dhs and asked them if the appeal was succesfull would they still be able to tell me as it was from a year or 2 ago...i just curious now as to what amount of money i may have lost..thanks

You need to ask them to send you a statement as to when the money was paid and to which account number the money was sent to.
They should have records showing the payment. Then you will be able to trace it.0
