investing for dividends

Right now, I think that for me buying a few solid big-cap stocks which offer a decent dividend payout is a good way to go. Has anyone any experience with a newsletter called: Dividend Income Investor?
If anyone has anything to share on this, I would surely be grateful. Thanks

My advice - don't waste your money, there's lots of good info on the internet eg these boards, Monevator, Motley Fool HYP boards etc.

Also, for a good introduction to generating income from shares, get hold of 'Slow & Steady Steps...' ebook http://www.amazon.co.uk/Slow-Steady-Steps-Wealth-ebook/dp/B007EBLN3G/ref=sr_1_1?s=digital-text&ie=UTF8&qid=1343297410&sr=1-1

    Good luck!
We have a climate emergency and need to re-think investing strategies to avoid sectors that are part of the problem such as oil & gas and embrace climate-friendly options such as renewable energy.

    Agreed 100%.

Hang around on the HYP practical forums on Motley Fool for a few weeks, and go back through a few months of historical chatter. Yes, it's lively, and there is as much dissent as consensus, but if there was just a single right answer then we'd all be doing the same.

You might also like to look at ETFs like UKDV as a way to get started with a fairly diverse portfolio.
I am not a financial adviser and neither do I play one on television. I might occasionally give bad advice but at least it's free.

Like all religions, the Faith of the Invisible Pink Unicorns is based upon both logic and faith. We have faith that they are pink; we logically know that they are invisible because we can't see them.
