Mis sold creadit card

Hi there new to this.
A number of years ago my overdraft was at the limit. I kept getting back charges which then pussed me over the limit more. I asked for the over draft to be made higher until I got on top of things so the charges wouldn't continue. Barclays said no I will have to have a creadit card. I said I didn't want one, they said that that's all I can do we will not put up your overdraft you have to have a creadit card.
Has this been mis sold.
Thanks for help.

Has this been mis sold.
No. Lenders are free to decide what they lend or not.
Barclays said no but Barclaycard said yes to giving you credit. They share a logo but they have their own lending criteria and responsibility (the branch isnt responsible for a Barclaycard debt going bad but is if the overdraft goes bad).
They told you what they could offer and you made your choice.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). The comments I make are just my opinion and are for discussion purposes only.
