Parking in West London outskirts
Options
We are coming into London for the Olympics on Sunday and Monday and are looking for somewhere in West London to leave our car for about 30 hours.
It needs to be somewhere close to a Tube station, reasonably secure and not ridiculously expensive. Anyone got any suggestions please? We are considering King's Mall in Hammersmith or maybe one of the tube stations that have 24 hour car parks. TIA.

Unless you are staying in London overnight then Monday is going to be a lot hard than Sunday due to commuters.
With the M4 you need to remember that there is a Olympic lane and delays because of the Hammersmith floyover.
Have you thought about somewhere like Slough or Reading and then the train?IT Consultant in the utilities industry specialising in the retail electricity market.

I always park at Ravenscourt Park tube station. Meter parking which is free at the weekends - there are also streets around there that are free to park. Not overly secure as it's on the road but I've never had any problems.0

Remember on Sunday, it's the London-Surrey cycle race, a lot of the routes to the (south) west of London and towards Surrey will be shut and lots of congestion will be expected.0

Thanks for all your replies - much appreciated!
Weighing everything up and aiming to reduce any driving congestion stress we have decided to drive to Slough BR, park up there (600+ spaces and £7 per day) and catch a fast train into Paddington (£8 each single). If we get delayed returning back from Greenwich on Monday night, trains run out to Slough until about midnight.Old dog but always delighted to learn new tricks!0 -
Park Royal tube station - Picadilly line.
There is the Concord retail park nearby and a couple of the service roads that run between the private car parks (don't park on the car parks!) seem to have no restrictions if you're lucky enough to get a spot there (it's chocka during the week). On Sunday, it should be empty.
Can't guarantee security as it's a public road and generally deserted Sunday, but it's free and will be well attended Monday. Follow the road all the way down and you come out on a housing estate where you may be able to park with more people coming and going.0
