Hi all,
Left probably too late, but off on holiday a week Monday.
What chance do I have if I apply for an Aqua or Halifax Clarity of getting the card in a week?
Any holders of these cards, can you give an idea of timescales?
Off to Cuba, so can't be an American backed card.
Thanks

To be honest I would say very unlikely. They need to get the app, process it, if agreed send a file to their card producer to get the plastic produced and get that out in the post to you.
Apply online, not a paper app. That will speed things up and if you get an instant decision you may be in with a chance. I would not, however, recommend you rely on it.0 -
That's what I thought too, but just applied and accepted for aqua.
Sending out paperwork for signature which takes 7 to 10 days anyway.
ill use for fuel purchases in uk anyway. Bonus if it arrives. Only 500 credit limit anyway.0 -
From experience, the Halifax Clarity took just over two weeks from application to card arriving, I called them at one point as I applied three weeks before going abroad and was worried it wasn't going to turn up in time! This was an online app too, they still send you a contract to sign in the post.
When your Aqua arrives, it'll still be useful for next time you're away anyway0 -
Cheers for feedback. Expected Halifax to be quicker for some reason.
Will stick with aqua app then.
Will take existing Barclaycard and Tesco for holiday and take the hit, although won't use much anyway I hope.0 -
i tried the same, applied about 9 days before we went and it didnt turn up in time. was on the door mat when we returned.
i used a caxtonfx card instead.0
