direct debit guarantee timelimit

If a direct debit has gone out say 2 months ago and was not noticed and shouldnt have gone out am i still able to get it refunded straight away by my bank?
For everthing else there's mastercard.
For clampers there's Barclaycard.

    This is at the discretion of your bank. I don't think there is any definate rule through BACS, which rules out any bank refunding after 2 months. If you go into your bank and prove that the debit should not have been made, then I can't see why they could not return it unpaid.
    The comments I post are personal opinion. Always refer to official information sources before relying on internet forums. If you have a problem with any organisation, enter into their official complaints process at the earliest opportunity, as sometimes complaints have to be started within a certain time frame.

    Don't see why not.

    If the DD was taken in error (wrong amount or taken too early), you are entitled to a full and immediate refund from your bank under the Direct Debit Guarantee Scheme.
    If you do go ahead, make sure you ask for a refund under the DD Guarantee Scheme (immediate refund) and not an Indemnity Claim (long wait for a refund).
