an amusing interview experience . .

Went for an interveiw this morning, all went well and seemed very positive.

The amusing bit, interview was up 2 flights of stairs, as I turned to shake the hand of my interviewer upon leaving I slipped and fell down a small flight of stairs !!

Lucky for me I decided to wear trousers and not my smart dress:eek:

had to be helped of the landing . .left saying 'I'm Fine' etc . . and feeling so embarressed:rotfl:

Got home and they called me to make sure I was ok . .bless !

Not writing this 'cos I think they were in anyway in the wrong but all the people I have told have said, good or bad at least they will remember you if you get shortlisted !!

Any more tales of (potential0 woe

I once spilt a drink over a computer during an interview. Not something I'll aim to repeat, but I got the job :) I think the computer was OK, too.

I made the fatal error of eating burrito moments before my interview. I was also wearing a white shirt... you can guess what happend. I cruel morsel of salsa jumped out of the burrito and landed on my front - I was so embarrassed and unsurprisingly didn't get the job. Lesson to take from this - always take an emergence chance of clothes

So your interview was as 'easy as falling down the stairs' then?

    Good Luck!

    Sorry but that's hilarious!
  • I got my current job after having a heated debate with some one down the pub.

It wasn't fisticuffs or anything daft like that. More a topical debate where two people had completely different viewpoints.

There was some else in the pub quite high up in the same company I worked for who overheard the 'conversation'. A couple of days later he approached me at my desk and asked me if I'd like to work for him. The pub debate was effectively my interview, he explained how impressed he was with how well I argued by points, and was looking to see if I could do the same in a work environment.

That was 17 years ago and I'm still there having moved up the greasy pole considerably.

    Good luck with yours.

Not "never eat a burrito moments before your interview", then?
  • They might just feel so sorry for you they'll give you the job :)

On a serious note, hope it went well aside from the fall, and good luck hearing back!
