Hi All
I opened a Cahoot Savings account last year to qualify for the £40 cash back through quidco. I have decided to now use the account as i have around £50 per month i can afford to save.
Does anyone else have a Cahoot savings account and if so, what do they think of it?
Many thanks for any advice or just a hello!

Hello,
welcome to the boards.
Unfortunately I've had bad epxeriences with cahoot.
I opened an account with them for my parents.
When we got interest I noticed they charged some tax but only 10% not 20%.
I queried this and they reckon they only received one R85 form for non-taxpayers.
This is ridiculous because we would definitely have put the 2 forms in the same envelope (I think they must have dropped one).
Cahoot refused to refund and made us make a claim from the Inland revenue.
I then sent the forms off and made sure I got a written confirmation of receipt.
Guess what - they took tax the next year and said they couldn't give it back !!!
Account now closed.
I also ordered statements and had to do it 3 times to get them.
Fortunately they were too incompetance to charge.
It's quite possible that you will get no problems, however we sure did and in my experience they weren't very helpful.
Hope that helps

Cahoot have been good for me, however since parent company Abbey have been taken over by Santander their loans and CC rates have gone up dramatically, but the savings rate seems good. So overall thumbs up for cahoot savings account.0

Oh Well, sounds like I've just been unlucky.
I wouldn't let it put you off.
There are always isolated incidents in any company.0 -
I like the Cahoot Webcard, it's a comfort buying online and knowing that you are giving a supplier a 'use once' card # with credit limit you can specify in advance.0
