Ebay - Refund/Return

I sold some shoes on eBay and the payer took nearly two weeks to pay and only did so after I sent a message saying I would have to file a non-payer claim.
I sent the shoes swiftly after payment via Paypal.
Six weeks later, yes that's SIX weeks she emailed me to say she would like a refund, the shoes had not arrived and she didn't like them anyway because I said they were 'flats' and in her opinion they were not. (They're under the 'flats' section on the Clarks website). She would like a refund.
I said I would investigate via the Post Office then get back to her.
The Post Office were brilliant and the shoes have been returned to me because they weren't collected from the sorting office.
Do I refund? Would it be OK to refund the cost of the shoes, less the paypal payment and not the postage? Should I be expected the bear the cost of postage just because she had clearly changed her mind?
Any advice? Many thanks.

If you follow this course of action, you will almost certainly receive negative feedback and possibly low stars.
You have the shoes back, I would mark it down to experience and relist. You're only young once, but you can be immature forever

It's been 8 weeks bough so if the buyer can get them to wait a little longer then they can't leave feedback. Would not say to do his if the buyer was decent but they seem to be taking the peeNeeding to lose weight start date 26 December 2011 current loss 60 pound Down.
