Selling items on Ebay

Hi guys.
I'm a keen baker, and just love getting my hands on some fondant! So I was thinking of starting my own little business (kinda) by making cupcake toppers such as flowers, music notes etc and selling them on Ebay at first and just seeing how things go, then maybe setting up my own facebook page!
I know there's a lot of cake makers out there, but this is more aimed at people who aren't everyday bakers, who may want to make cupcakes as a one off.
I was just wondering, is there any procedures I need to take? Like insurance, register myself etc? I wasn't sure I'd need to if I'm just simply selling that on Ebay at first.
TIA

I think you need to be insured, registered with the local health authority and have a food hygiene certificate.-->♥<-- Sugar Coated Owl -->♥<--
