Anyways, can i clarify that if hes no longer working (he gets made redundant say) he will definately still get paid his child tax credit as well as his child benefit, the same amount or perhaps even more but no less? and he only looses his working tax credit which he can replace with job seekers allowance?> Is this correct?

Does this mean he's considering not working but will start to claim even more benefits?

This is 100% why the benefits system needs changing! they stand to get the salary of someone earning £55K a year potentially for breeding for cash.

Money should pay for 2 childrenn MAX - anymore you support yourself.

And as for the redundancy - JC+ will expect too see paperwork, Ie his boss needs to do so officially and pay his redundancy. As it appears to be "under the table" type work and not meeting NMW if they refuse to make redundant and say they sacked him or he left - you can get nothing for 26 weeks as a sanction.

How come he earns under min wage?

And why have so many children when you can't afford them?

Zagfles does this mean they will get approx £15K in benefits (tax free each year on top of a full time wage? That can't be right surely??

And this is why the country is in the state its in.
And they are making hard working people work longer because they cant afford to pay them their old age pension at 65.
A lot of people get more in benefits alone than someone working
    all the hours god sends.
Get off your !!!!!! and go and do a bit.
