If you want to qualify for the higher interest rate (currently 4.25%) of the Classic Plus, you need to pay in £1,000 a month. Though having either Classic or Classic Plus qualifies you for the Regular Saver.

All confirmed by the TSB this morning. The current terms and conditions are correct, you can pay into this monthly saver from any account as long as it isn't a Lloyds TSB savings account. You still have to open the current account but go for the cash account and stick a quid in, that way you can keep the rest of your every day dosh where it earns decent interest. It was a trial and tribulation getting to this point but I am pleased I fought my local branch, they tell me when this was originally trained out to the staff they were told that the feed has to come from a Lloyds current account but we will never know if that is true.
