Free on google sites? could you please explain- yes it would be without cart. Thank you

I have sent you a private message as it contains a link to Google sites.

I wrote a post early today but disappeared now.

In my views regarding to website, it's all about how to build a website more people come to see. You get to know how to use all the tools to know your competitors online, keep it in mind when build your website. If you can make your business success online, why can't you charge others to do the same online.

I got a website software package for under £80 and built my own site from scratch with it. I used youtube (believe it or not) for all the tutorials you will need to build a great looking site. There is templates available with the package but I didn't use them, so the site is unique with my own custom backgrounds and logos. I did it with no experience what so ever.
I used a popular web hosting company and everything is up and running with one click uploads every time I need to make a change. There is also lots free email boxes with the web host and a free delivery system with the web design software. It couldn't be easier to do, for a 5 page website you would be mad to not have a go yourself.
May I ask how your website is doing now? More visits and more business?

You can get pages designed for $5 per page if you know where to look. And they are just as good as the rest.

go to Freelancer.co.uk - you post your project you want and you will have people bidding for it. You chose who you want to do the job and pay via Freelancer (you pay a deposit but you don't release it until the work is complete and also pay the rest).

I have used them for all my project work and I got a 10 page website done for under £200. Graphic desgin was done by myself so it was just putting it into a wordpress site.

Give it a go and see what happens. Another option is to go to https://www.artisteer.com - really good website that allows you to design a website into a wordpress, joomla and loads of other CMS profiles. Upload it to your server then add the paypal, google cart plugins and job done :)

You can get pages designed for $5. They certainly aren't the same.

Use atspace.com for free, advert free, reliable stable space.

Use 1and1 for cheap domain name address, about two quid a year or less for a dot com and 8 quid for two years of dot co uk, or whatever it is these days. Bargain. Don't pay twenty or forty or sixty quid, that's just a rip off, no need for that.

And or use free domains such as .nr and .tk and various others.

If you want shopping cart and ebusiness then use the free shopping cart via paypal and the paypal payments for starters. If your business grows then possibly at some point you might want to try some other platforms but that's plenty good enough for getting started.

Learn yourself to save pages as .htm and .html and upload them to your site yourself.

The first page, the home page, is generally called index.html That's all you need to know to get started.

Learn how to use photoshop yourself, it's fairly straightforward once you get a bit of practise.

    For free programs use download.com

If you want to use templates then look for the free resources, there's loads available everywhere.

Then also get a couple or five keen friends of friends and or local students and their friends to work on it for free for experience.

Then if you want to get passing trade read up SEO Search Engine Optimisation and apply the techniques. Most of them are fairly straightforward and learnable and there's a few beginner's mistakes to avoid. That's it.

    There you go.

That'll get you a much better product and very cheap or almost free. Or even completely free.

And you'll know what you're doing and what it's all about. Rather than listening to bods trying to explain it to you or not even bothering - and or charging you lots for simple stuff that you could easily do yourself in ten minutes or half an hour.

    Bingo. Sorted.

    Good luck.

If that's all it took I'd be out of a job :)

Putting together a simple website can take minutes but experience is the key. You could spend days learning this but with no experience the end result won't have been worthwhile.

This is business. Work out what your time is worth; put a value on it. What does it cost you to tie yourself up for days learning to build a site. If you find it's still cheaper then you'd better take a good look at your business and judge whether you even need a site.

Wordpress.com has no value for business needs. Wordpress.org is for businesses, there are loads of programmers who know how to use wordpress if they are needed and many newbies who build wordpress sites with no problem. All it takes is a youtube search for how to.

Lots of business use the service provided by WordPress.com:

    http://en.wordpress.com/business

When coupled with Premium Features is brilliant value for money for the less technically inclined. Remember most folks are out there selling, buying or running their own business and don't have time to get their hands dirty fiddling about with ftp, security, backups or updates.
