Thomson v Teletext - What are my chances

Hello, (I did type this thread earlier, but couldn't find it - If it does appear I'm sorry for duping!)

I'm looking to book a week away for 2 at Ibiza (Santa Eulalia) based on Half Board during the last week in September. To book through Thomson it's going to cost £1,100. I've found a deal in Teletext's Website for £400pp but will most probably have to pay the additional baggage and transfer charges.

What are my chances if I call Thomson and try and get them to match this price I've seen? Has anyone had any experience in haggling with them, or shall I save myself the embarrassment of being refused straight away!?

800 quid looks pricey to me.

Flight going to be around £100, £150 tops. Sure you'd get a half board hotel for £300 tops.

£600 all in.

I'd say you would need to have the total price with Teletext i.e. including all extras before even asking Thomson to price match.

They can't really price match if they don't know what price they are matching.

Flights are not going to be that cheap either at the clubbing season ends the first week of October so the airlines will usually bump the price up a wee bit until it gets closer and the planes aren't full and then there will be bargains to be had(probably but could also go either way with Ibiza).
I would ring anyway it is worth a shot, also look at the price for flights and seeing booking separately is an option. It has worked for me for my last few visits to Ibiza but you have to be lucky with the flights as Ibiza is a notoriously expensive island to fly to.

Check here at the hotels and apartments for price, then do a quick check on skyscnner.net for days and prices and see if you can get a better deal. If you are lucky with the flights you could make it for less than £1000 in my opinion.

Ryanair flights are at around £185+ with luggage from Leeds .
Lon, Man, lpool a bit more etc so if you can get a deal HB for under 200 pp HB then you can save a bit

Unless the product is identical ie same flights, same hotel/board basis, transfers, meals etc then they won't be interested in attempting to price match.
