Thomson v Teletext - What are my chances?

Hello,
I'm looking to book a week in Ibiza (Santa Eulalia) during the last week in September based on Half Board. To book through Thomson it will cost £1,100 but via Teletext is will be approx £400pp with additional charges for t'fers etc.
If I call Thomson and say I've found this price, what are my chances of haggling them down to this price? Has anyone had any experiences with Thomson and discounting a package holiday?

Hi
To start with I would be willing to bet that the teletext holiday {should you choose to try and book it} will have "just sold out" but there will be another "offer" but dearer for what you want. As to taking the info to Thomson I cannot see in my wildest dreams them agreeing to reduce the price they want by around say £500/600 but all you can do is ask.
