hi i really hope someone can advise me here.
Ihad a letter last week from my husbands car insurer informing us that the dd had been declined and could i pay the owing £43 by 22nd. i sent them a cheque for the £43 on the 16th i had a letter this morning (25th) saying they had cancelled the insurance?! i have insured him with someone else now but didnt say yes to insurance being cancelled as i thought this meant due to criminal convictions etc but after reading a bit about it i think that maybe i should've ticked yes?! im worried now so anyone who can help i will be ever so grateful:(

You had better phone your new insurer and explain the circumstances before you have another policy cancelled, if they do cancel you may find it hard to get insurance with any company.0

thanks for the advice. I phoned the new insurer and they were absolutely fine about it:j they said as long as i didnt owe the previous insurers anything it wasnt a problem.0

Ask them to confirm this to you in writing - then you have something tangible to show should they deny saying this to you at some time in the future!0 -
Who did you get your new insurance with? After a lost purse and cancelled debit card I had my insurance cancelled while on holiday as I didn't know there was an issue with payment and didn't respond to their letter - which I didn't know about as was on holiday. I've now been told I'm blacklisted and my quotes for car ins have doubled.
Devastated to be honest
