Youre lucky that 12 weeks notice is in your contract. If it wasnt, they would only be obliged to give you 5 weeks notice for 5 years work.make the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.
and we will never, ever return.0 -

5 years service for redundancy(maybe 6 depending on dates).
So 5 to 9 weeks capped at £430 depending on age and service.
The OP seems to assumed double rather than being on service as mentioned above.
That is why I asked - it looks as though the OP assumed 17 weeks (using my example).0 -
I have 15 years with my company...0

No idea where the 5 came from!
12weeks notice and 15 years service(maybe 16) for redundancy at 1week per year 1.5 each year over 41 (0.5 if full years are under 22)
you count backwards from the relevent end date.0 -

Thanks for that. After tax, I think I'll have enough money for 6 months of job hunting.
Also, are they obligated to pay for acrrued holiday?0 -
yes, but only those that acrue up to the day you finish.
Remember redundancy can be capped at £430pw base is £64500 -
Can anybody please answer?
I have just recieved an email detailing my redundancy payout, but there is no mention of my notice pay, of which i am fully entitled to as i was given no notice.....
does the notice pay come seperately from a separate department?...and how long after does it take to recieve it?
p.s i was made redundant in mid may, and redundancy payout is in the process of going through to my bank shortly...and my notice period ran out a few weeks ago...
any answers would be appreciated as its rather agonising to recieve only 'half' of what you had worked out!.....0 -
you could have provided this info earlier!
When were you terminated what did the termination letter say.
What was your last day at work
What have you been paid since then
