Claiming against Freedom finance/Paragon

Hello guys,

Some years ago we took out a loan of £20,000 through Paragon (via Freedom Finance), we realised what a mistake we'd made by going with them and decided to sort our finances out via our mortgage provider and had to repay Paragon back £26,000! ( I know stupid stupid stupid.....)

The only thing is, I cannot find any paperwork AT ALL! is there a way I can put forward a claim with limited information or if I can get a copy of the paperwork from somewhere to check the PPI situation? Can someone advise what is my best next step?

Many thanks for reading.

If it was after 14/1/2005 then you will need to contact the FSCS to claim against Freedom Finance, they are in liquidation and have been found to be in default by the FSCS.

Have a look at the FSCS website and call the number and they will send you the forms.

If it was before the above date then get ready for a long fight!

Give FOS a call and ask if you can go to the insurer with this, as the company are bust, due to the year you cannot claim mis sell from them.
