Urgent Help Required! Young driver seeking insurance

Hi,

I'm looking for insurance and I am only 20 and have had my license for just over 2 years now.

The best I'm getting is about £900 but that's as a named driver on my mums car.

What are the alternative methods?

The help is much appreciated.

What exactly are you trying to get insurance for is it your own car or your mothers, if it is your own and you drive it the majority of the time then you must be insured as the main driver, to have someone else as the main driver and you as a named driver is fronting and illegal.

If you want to be insured on your mothers car then she needs to add you to her policy as a named driver assuming she drives it the majority of the time.

Hi if you're looking to get your own policy (I've no doubt you've check the PC sites) do also ring some of the specialists (who's deal aren't always online). Suggest you try A Plan, Crowthorne, Only Young Drivers; also the telematics companies (who'll monitor your driving but do have some good prices); most of these are on PC sites but 1 or 2 like Ingenie you'll need to approach directly.
