If you have one nearby, Home Bargains have Olay essential wipes for 99p. Absolute bargain.
I have dry skin and I use either Avene Hydrance Optimal or Barefoot Botanicals Rosa Fina, and if my skin is really dry Clarins Hydraquench.0 -
You sound like my mum. She has tons of moisturizers that there is no way she can get through them all.
She also uses and swears by Liz Earle Cleanse and Polish. They also a moisturizer which is under that set. I think she favours Elemis over Liz Earle Moisturizer though. Do you have the muslim cloth that comes with the Cleanse and Polish, you could use this to exfoliate your face whilst away (though not practically for plane). You can even get cheaper ones on ebay that are similar.
My mum loves QVC and they generally do sets for much cheaper than highstreet, brands such as Liz Earle are always on it.
Do you drink alot of water? That is the best thing to hydrate your skin. Alot of experts say that its what you eat and drink that effects your skin and hair as creams don't properly sink into your skin and are generally wiped away, just like shampoo and conditioner is washed away from your hair.
I don't like clinique I think its just dry skin out completely. Plus I don't trust someone who has an orange face and white neck to give me advice on makeup/skincare (haha meow, sorry if that offends anyone).
Just remember Simple (Love that brand) do makeup wipes that exfoliate and have Aloe Vera and Vitamin E. They are called Simple Kind To Skin Exfoliating Facial Wipes (25 in a pack)0 -
I do drink plenty ... Between 2-3 litres per day ... It's strange because when i get my body stats done at the gym i go to my water level is always low ... So i seem to take plenty in but i dont seem to hold onto it ( that explains the constant running to the toilet lol)
I was away for a spa day today ( xmas present from my son to my mil ... She wanted company) ... They use elemis stuff and i thought great i can try their marine cream as i've heard it's amazing ... It was ok but not amazing ... Not any better than the clinique dramatically different moisturizer ... I think i will need to keep up the search ... Might try the clarins hydraquench see how that goes
I do order my liz earle from qvc and have plenty of cloths ... They are great for getting a good clean and i will use it often just looking for something for the plane and lazy days lol
Dont have a home bargains near me sadly ... Will try boots or something at the weekend0 -
as for face wipes I bought a pack of own brand ones in superdrug for 99p & they are really good . As for the face I have recentty won some palmers (the cocoa butter people) oil & you can use that on the face (it's a dry oil so won't make you face look greasy) so far the results are encouragingproud gran to 4 lovely boys and one little girl0

How about using the Liz Earle Skin Tonic on the plane?
You could use it in cotton wool pads or wet one of your muslin clothes and take a little make up bag with you to keep the cloth in?
Its not drying at all and will make you feel really fresh and clean. Then I would pop a bit of your neroli oil on.
Have a good holiday and ask the flight attendants what they use on their skin if you get a chance because it must play havoc with their skin those long flights!0 -
Thats a good idea keeping motivated ... I have some toner aswell but not in 100ml sized bottles but i can decant it ... I know some people use it as a spritz spray thingy ...
And great idea asking the stewardesses their skin must be murder for them ... Between the flight and having to wear makeup they must use some great products for their face0 -
I use baby wipes too. What I think would be best would be, use the wipes, then wash your face with water/cloth and maybe a facewash. Obviously gonna be annoying in a tiny plane loo, but for the hols it might be best. I hate the feeling on my skin after using any sort of wipes and find facewash or water best.
Might be better off with a toner which would give that cleaner fresher feeling. Am sure there's a cheapish cucumber Boots range. Have seen it somewhere. Maybe it was Superdrug... Body Shop are good for things like that too, and do tonnes of online deals if you sign up to their newsletter. Often running 40% off, etc.
Jx2024 wins: *must start comping again!*0 -
IMHO the best ones are the Lidl Lacura ones for normal/dry skin. I'm not into cleansing wipes at all (I think they are the devils work for the skin!) but when needs must these are the best ever and they only cost 75p. I've used ones that are 10x the price but nothing comes close. I second taking a toner on the plane to get rid of cleansing wipe residue though. There are many things in life that will catch your eye, only a few will catch your heart. Pursue those.0

Best wipes I've found are the Garnier Soft in the pink packet...feel lovely and remove make up really well.0
