MBNA Loan PPI Upheld

Well after what seems like a massive wait my loan PPI claim has finally been upheld!

I say finally, because I first sent the questionnaire off at the end of April which was received, but lost. I found this when I called to ask when I hadn't heard anything

So after receiving confirmation the claim was being looked at I waited patiently until the end of June, when the confirmation letter stated I would hear by, only to receive a letter saying they needed more time, and I would receive a reply by the end of July.

Then on 7th July I received a letter saying that the claim had been upheld :j but the calculations would take 6 weeks :( I called to question this and was told it actually be between 6 and 12 weeks

By this stage it's 12 weeks since I sent my initial complaint in, and am mad, so I fire off an email to ian.odoherty@bankofamerica.com (CEO) and Paul.williams@bankofamerica.com (Head of complaints), and am promised a response within 7 days. On 13th I request an update via email from the person dealing with me, and he calls back to tell me the cheque haas been requested, and are on the way.

Finally on Friday 20th July I received my cheque for £2,800.
If you get the fob off letter from MBNA about calculations it really is worth sending them an email, and calling to chase them up it seems to have worked for me :)

Thanks for all the advice, and well done to 'jandk' too ;)

You know I'm chuffed to pieces :j

It's due to you emailing me the details that I paid my cheque for £2359 in to my bank this morning - and didn't have to await the 12 weeks either.

Huge thanks to you - and the other helpful people on this forum.
