Im struggling to find one im happy with...
Literally gone through the Thomson local this morning and all the locksmiths i called seem to go through to a similar if not the same call center.
best quote £180 plus parts and VAT to open a jammed plastic door (think all the sun on it yesterday didn't help) that was based on an hours labour. Seems a little steep?
Am i right in thinking they could drag it out and charge more?
Im tempted to ask for a written quote since its not an emergency its just a side door from the kitchen but still makes putting the dog out a little tricker.

I wouldnt bother with paper directories anymore they are old hat and small tradesmen cant afford to waste money advertising in them.
Google is your friend

Sounds to me more like a plastic door (UPVC) problem than the lock itself. Might be better looking for a window/door repair firm. Know someone in Bromsgrove if that is near you.0

chap has just left turned out a pvc door fitter lived a few doors down haha.
Put some sort of airbag in the gap and unjammed the hook then adjusted my door hinges.
He reckoned it was all the sun we had yesterday as its a brown door.
The best cure is a hosepipe aparently as it cools the door down
cost me beer money so im a happy chappy0
