Traveling to France

I will be going to France on 28thJuly from Nottingham via m11, m25,to Euro tunnel are there any problems expected with olympic traffic in these areas.:j

You don't say what time but take a look at official tfl or olympic sites as the suggestion is the M11/M25 junction will probably be a nightmare

Thanks johnnyreggae we will be leaving nottingham about 6am need to be in folkestone for 10.30

I think I'd be leaving at 5am not 6am for that journey and also consider going down the M1 and round the South Side of the M25.

Thanks laidbackgjr when you say south side of M25 do you mean anti clockwise.

That should be even worse because the cycling means the whole of South West London will be shut that day - look at the official sites

Having done that several times at that time of morning the M11 route is just fine and apart from the queue for the Dartford Crossing there shouldn't be much in the way of delays.

Don't go the south/anticlockwise way round. You will spend an age in traffic jams from the A40 round past Heathrow airport and you'll be doing 3/4 of the length of the M25 compared to 1/4 going clockwise.
