Destructive developer

What can we do?

A developer got palnning permission to build houses in the garden of an end of terrace property [they bought up several gardens]. The house was the last terraced house before a more modern semi.

However yesterday the knocked down the end house in the terrace. The properies age from 1890 and were the first things to be built here. So in more than one way the have damaged he amenity of the area.

Unfortuantely the property was not subject to any restrictions - so is there anything we can do or are we blighted by an housing developer?

Looks like you have left it too late insofar as the planning application stage was the time to object. Can only suggest you now monitor the redevelopment to ensure it is built in accordance with the submitted and approved scheme.

IMO as above unless he does anything that is not contained within his planning permission (ie the footprint of the dwelling or windows in the wrong place) you have left it way too late & will have to live with it or move, a case of the horse, bolted, stable door.
I'm only here while I wait for Corrie to start.

You get no BS from me & if I think you are wrong I WILL tell you.
