    Hello people,

    Hope you're having a good New Year. This will be quick. I'm in the uni library without a pen (maybe I should have made a new years resolution to be more organised - but hey where's the fun in that, hardly keeps you on your toes does it?)

    House purchase in 6 days and counting :j:j:j:j:j
    Run away from completely irritating housemate in 11 days and counting :j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j

    Coursework due in 10 days and counting :eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek:

    Decision on which critical illness cover and insurance to go with due in 2 days and counting :eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek:

    Finding paperwork on critical illness cover from a bedroom full of A3 drawings due TODAY

    :eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek:

    So off to look up cross sections (and happy sections Z) of windows, emergency egress windows, eaves and structural steel support. And you thought my life was one of glamour and excitement.

    Payments on credit cards yesterday and tomorrow. Will update on 15th once I know how much needs to go on those and how much on savings.

    Taxman has sent a letter explaining their caluculations and that I won't be getting any more money out of them! :(

    One of these days I will manage to get a colour print out at the library but it won't be today.

    Mr Z, You asked about me doing the drawing. Several reasons really;
    • It's only two weeks of my life
    • I might as well give it a shot
    • I will learn from the process
    • A lengthy lecture from a school teacher friend about the lack of ambition in people from my area (not directed at me I think!)
    • It won't kill me *
    • Unlike BSL level 2 there is a clear point to me doing it
    * TBH the jury is out on this one

    Isn't that the truth. Spoke to one of my fellow students last night and she was laughing rather too hysterically for my liking. We may well all be over the edge in a weeks time!

    This week the potato diet. Basically takes 10 minutes to cook. Baked potato with anything :D.

    On other news;

    Payments have come off cards....

    CDL £10,000 = £5,101 still
    M&S £ 1,188 £ 90- 30 = £60
    MBNA £ 3,450 £3,346 - 32= £3,314

    So in total = £8475

    In not quite such good news....given that I am trying not to spend....the £234.90 has come off my bank balance to pay for the Milan weekend before I get to Milan :eek::eek::eek::eek:
    My mistake it appears is to no longer pay for things with a credit card :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: Oh the irony!

    Pales into insignificance compared to the balance to pay on the house though :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

    Going to be quite a twitchy week.:o

    Right I can hear a drawing calling me, Oh JOY

    She's probably done too much hatching. Hatching always did it for me. Given your area of work I suppose you'll have to do brickwork hatching, which I never did.

    It's only one week, then you'll be in your own house, with your own toilet roll and your own heating appliances - and it'll be BLISS...

    Thanks Verbatim. Have actually put some drawings infront of the lecturer today and he liked my layout so that is good.

    Given that we are designing for an elderly woman it is noticeable that the older students (particularly female) have put a loo on the ground floor!

    Ah well, back to it!
