carers allowance and working tax credits.

I was wondering if someone could advise me a little.
My son was awarded high rate DLA and I was awarded carers allowance after the tax year had ended (meaning I earn't £0 last year)
I've never claimed child tax credit or working tax credit before and I sent the paperwork off a week ago.
I was just wondering does anyone have any idea on how this will impact the claim for both?
Thank you in advance

You will get the child disability and probably severe disability (presuming it is higher rate care he ets) premiums included.
The carer's allowance will be taken into account as income.

See that's exactly what I thought however when I filled out the calculator lastnight for child tax credits it came back we should get £445 ish a month. Yet the disability benefits should be more than that as he is getting high rate care too0

Yes, but the maximum amount is reduced based on your income. So you might not get the full child disability premium if your income is high.
Also, if you used the HMRC calculator it gives you a figure from today until the end of the tax year, not for a full 12 months.
