France - camping suggestions?

You can sometimes get a good deal on the Western crossings by booking a package through Siblu or Keycamp - I've done that a few times and paid around £50-60 extra each way to Caen. The evening crossings seem to be the cheapest, the overnight ones are very expensive.0

Have a look at the Castels group of campsites and see if you like the look of any,

Have a look at LD lines, Portsmouth - Le Havre, or Newhaven - Dieppe.
We have travelled with them a few times, they are cheaper than most of the others.
You will find that most campsites in France, even the Municipal ones have excellent, clean toilet facilities, so I wouldn't concern myself too much with 5* camping.0 -
actually works out slightly cheaper going to calais then driving to carantec, however the journey is HORRENDOUS!!!!
What's horrendous about it?
We used to do that journey quite regularly and enjoyed it0
