I can't decide!
Will be moving to our new house shortly and being a decorating fiend and having work done in the house (soundproofing) I'll start decorating asap:o
I had the decor planned before I even found the right house but the downstairs flooring I'm struggling with!
The main walls in each room will be a light/ish shade of grey. The living room will have a plum and metallic grey feature wall and the hallway will have a white, black and silvery grey feature (possibly up the stairs) with a dark charcoal fleck carpet on the stairs.Kitchen, well not 100% decided what I'll be doing yet but there will be some red bits in there and I'll need to re-tile.
I did consider walnut (love walnut) as it would work with the grey and plum (I think) but I don't think it would work in the hallway as I love good contrast between carpet and laminate and I think it would look dull! That and I don't want to make the rooms appear smaller.
I also like oak floorboard effect but not convinced it would go/if it would look too 'classic'?
So,any suggestions?Thought I'd look now while sales are on!
Oh,furniture is currently oak but I'm quite happy to paint it to fit my style
