I need to sell my house, will my council have to rehouse myself and 12 year old daughter.

If you sell your house you are making your self intentionally homeless and so no, the council don't have to rehouse you.
Why do you need to sell? Are you having financial problems? There's plenty of stuff on the boards that can help you get the most out the money that you have
and also lots of people working to get out of debt etc that support each other on the 'debt free wannabe' board. Everything that is supposed to be in heaven is already here on earth.

The council have no responsibility to you will be making yourself intentionally homeless. Talk to the Citizens Advice Bureau before you make any decisions. They have all the most recent information and you can trust them to give you the correct information.
Don't act until you have explored every option!
