Hi guys. Saw this yesterday and have been trying to google what tree it might be. One picture that was similar was a mickey mouse tree. Has anyone got a positive ID?

Cheers :)

    It's Clerodendrum trichotomum. :)

The problem with Mickey Mouse names is that other people may not know what is meant. Latin names don't suffer like that.

I wondered if it was Ochna serrulata, the mickey mouse bush? The one you suggested seems to have more distinct star shaped red petals. Very confused. It is so hard to ID stuff :(

You're right, and the berries aren't the right colour either. The clerodendrum has berries that mature to a turquoise colour and they'd not be ready yet, in the UK.

So it's not that at all, and my ID is wrong. :(:o

EDIT: Was it outdoors? I'd have thought the Ochna was a bit tender for most of the UK, especially after the winters of 2009/10 and 2010/11.
