Making things we 'need' instead of 'want'.
Saying that, and in light of the move back to the 1920's I'm considering buying these for the house I'm renovating:

Would that be something like we don't 'need' high house prices but there are some that do 'want' them.0 -

Do you really want to go down this route, even though you know it will end with you flouncing off the forum in defeat?

Apparently higher house prices are 'good news' but when was the last time someone said "Good news' the price of food or TVs/ fridges etc has just gone up? (Cept unless your the CEO of a food or white goods company)0 -

Thats not how it works though. Ultimately private companies end up wanting to supply goods as cheaply as possible. The reason being you can sell far more that way and the way to make big profits on anything is to sell millions of them.
What matters more is margins and the more made the cheaper they can manufacture usually. Amazing to some perhaps but capitalism aint the cause of high prices.
House prices rise because government has a political bias to this scenario as its related to debt which they create so much of.
