Late Payment Fees! Legal?

Hi all,

Bit of help needed!

I have been charged the dreaded flat fee of £50 for a late payment of tuition fees. The fees are declared in the University Regulations, however is this legal?

Does the law regarding bank charges cover insitutions late payment fees too?

    It will probably be classed as a punative charge - same as bank charges. But I wouldn't pursue it until you have graduated.

    Yes you have 6 years to 'try' and get it back Best to get graduated first ;)

    Only a couple of months till graduation so I will take your advice and wait till the parchment (A4 paper) is tightly in my grasp. ;)
