Resin Bonded Driveways

OH has taken a liking to this system to cover existing concrete drive.
Are there any opinions / experiences either way on having this installed?
Also- likely cost for modest suburban driveway (2 /3 car size).
Thanks.

I reckon it really improves the look, particularly if the concrete has started to spall.
My dad has his shabby-looking drive done with a light coloured pea shingle and it's a big improvement, but the guys who did it weren't very careful, and could have done a lot better (a few patches where the resin had started to harden before they got the stones onto it).
Would be a good idea to get whoever you ask round to show you some local examples of their work.0 -
Resin bound is far superior to resin bonded, Resin bound is where the aggregate is mixed with resin and bonded is where the aggregate is put on top of the resin(scatterbond)
Its an average of £55-65 per m2, before you decide on a product check the quality of the resins used as it does vary, make sure that it is uv resistant, you can aslo get 15yr guarantee.
fwor: If the resin had started to harden then it is bonded0 -
Interested in your outcome here. Looks great when new and I have seen samples done on youtube, I think the mixed with stones, version looks stronger. Post your results if you find someone.
I have had a quote of £150 sq mtr for the drive with all the ground work etc,0
