Warehouse store card - where can I find out which lender to claim against?

I paid PPI for several years on a Warehouse store card between 1996 and 2002. However I can't remember who the lender actually was, and I know it has subsequently changed a couple of times (currently Ikano Financial Services). Is there a way of finding out who was behind the card back then? I have phoned Warehouse card services and as to be expected the call centre person I spoke to had no idea.

Do you have any statements on this account at all by any chance.
I believe with it being a store card, the statement should enclose details of who you write to on the back.
