I'm looking to buy a Sonos at some point. I understand to stream music I have to have my computer switched on or alternativly buy a NAS box.
From my understanding of this I move all my PC music onto a 'shared' folder and give the NAS permission to it, then give the sonos permission to the NAS.
Any advice on what would be suitable?
It will be used for the music as noted above and also to share photos with the the laptop, thats about it.
Thanks

Nearly. You move your music onto a shared folder on the NAS. WD MyBook live and Netgear ReadyNAS are two which spring to mind but I think any NAS will do.
