Savings Scheme for Children

I'm hoping to set up 3 savings schemes with up to £3000 in each, and then add £1000 per year to each for the next 10 years. What is the best choice for me. I'm really thinking of trying to save money for the children for when they go to university in 10 years time. Can anyone advise?

Note "£100 rule" if money provided by parents - does not apply to CTF/JISA - are your children eligible for one or the other?0
