Hi
I need to know if tomorrow (25th) the route from blackwall Tunnel to Stratford Shopping Centre will be available to be driven on. I'm looking at the getahead website but it is pretty confusing. It shows Olympic routes, and game routes all along the way but it doesn’t state if they will be closed or not.
Thanks!

There's an Olympic lane on the A12 heading north from Blackwall Tunnel to the stadium so it reduces from the usual 3 to 2 lanes northbound but you can still take the A11 Bow Road into Stratford. You can't turn off it into the little roads - you have to go straight up Stratford High St. The A1011 Manor Road going past West Ham tube station is games traffic only so you can't approach that way. You could do up the A13 to Canning Town, A124 and A112 through Plaistow to approach from the East but that's going to be slow traffic most of the way.I need to think of something new here...0

The Olympic lanes are closed to non Olympic traffic from 6am tomorrow and so the fun and games will begin0

Here's information from TfL about the Olympic & Paralympic Route Networks and the Games Lanes:
http://www.tfl.gov.uk/gettingaround/london2012/24565.aspx
Basically it's only the dedicated Games Lanes that you can't drive in, but be aware that there are a number of suspended turns (i.e. left or right turns that you can normally make are temporarily blocked).
Also worth noting that Westfield Stratford City's car parks are closed for the duration of the games, and will reopen in late September:

Remember that the Zil lanes are switched off for 10 days after the Olympics and then come back again for the Paralympics.I need to think of something new here...0 -
Thanks for all the replies, I think I'll just take the woolwich ferry and go around the routes. Will save me a headache for sure.
Thanks again!0
