Travel Insurance - Pre-exisitng condition

Hello,

I'm 31 and I am soon leaving to work two months in Canada. I was therefore looking into long stay insurances to cover me while I'm living there.

Last month, I got a surgery to fix my nasal septum deviation. I'm really happy about it and I can now breathe so much better than I have been able to my whole life.

However, I was wondering if this still counted as a pre-existing condition with strong consequences on the prices. Because it happened within the last two years, the answers I have found until now are very contradictory and I would appreciate your help.

Thank you very much!

It is a pre-existing condition however you can choose a policy that simply excludes pre-existing conditions and thus avoid the loading assuming you are happy to "risk" any late complications of the surgery
