Do I need to paint 2 coats?

Hi, I painted a room for the first time last night - my small kitchen - with special kitchen emulsion. The underlay was plain white lining paper. Do I paint it with 2 coats? There are slight patches here and there where you can see white coming through the terracotta colour, do I just paint over them or paint the whole thing again?

If you paint just the patches its likely youll end up having the same patches but instead of being lighter they will be darker iyswim?!
Paint the whole thing again. (sorry)0 -

Recently did a ceiling with emulsion and sorta gave it 4 coats lol.
Started Left to right, then did a coat immediatley up n down.
Let it dry then gave another coat same way.
First time I've painted in a long while and very happy with it, no patches and no dark/light spots

You know the answer, if not , paint the thing again, but next time use better paint, if it ain't a magnitude different in shade 1 coat really should do, given a good paint.I like the thanks button, but ,please, an I agree button.
Will the grammar and spelling police respect I do make grammatical errors, and have carp spelling, no need to remind me.;)
Always expect the unexpected:eek:and then you won't be dissapointed0
