From October, we're making it easier for you to report unreasonable buyer behaviour. Your support helps us to identify and take action against these buyers as well as protecting your seller standing. This will create a fairer trading environment on eBay.co.uk 0

Sorry the formatting went a bit wrong. There is going to be an option when leaving feedback to report a buyer for various issues.
Came from the Business Seller News email0 -
A lot is perfectly reasonable and well-handled, but I hope eBay will reveal at least some criteria as to which feedback is removeable as if they don't every poor seller who gets a neg will report their buyer for leaving it.
At the moment it boils down to (a) who the seller is and (b) semantics. The risk is the floodgates will be opened if eBay do not set out some ground rules as to what is reportable."Well, it's election year, Bill, we'd rather people didn't exercise common sense..." - Jed Bartlet, The West Wing, season 4

At least ebay is doing something about this situation. The amount of buyers who hold sellers to ransom over feedback is nothing short of criminal, in both senses.
And these people who think buyer negs aren't necessary can maybe open their eyes and see that buyers aren't actually the perfect beings that the current system makes them out to be.0 -
Flippin' heck - give it a rest and open your eyes to the wider retail world!! No-one said that all buyers are perfect but have it your way and ebay would revert to the silly feedback free for all it once was!! You really need to take the blinkers off fella!!marking_bad wrote: »And these people who think buyer negs aren't necessary can maybe open their eyes and see that buyers aren't actually the perfect beings that the current system makes them out to be.0 -

Is this system going to be for business sellers only or will private sellers be able to report unreasonable behaviour?
I think it seems like a positive step, so long as poor sellers don't abuse it, and eBay takes action against the reports.I have had many Light Bulb Moments. The trouble is someone keeps turning the bulb off

It's completely up to how ebay manages it. If ebay look into things properly and make correct decisions, then it will work well. If ebay don't look into reports properly, then the whole thing could be a something-up of massive proportions.0
