Santander ISA's "online" - a warning

Just because you can open a Santander ISA online doesn't mean you can access your money through online banking.

I opened an online ISA with Santander before the end of the last tax year. I have a fancy online banking portal to login to, which doesn't allow me to transfer money out of my ISA.

I contacted Santander via online banking to ask how I can do a transfer. They said I needed to call telephone banking. Spoke to telephone banking, who said they couldn't verify my identity as I wasn't registered for telephone banking. They were happy to set this up within 14 days.

To get my money out, I now need to visit a branch, wasting time and money.

Little point in having an online banking portal if you cannot carry out standard basic tasks with it.
