I kinow my printer can do it, but how do i set the printer so that I can put A4 in the Printer, but it prints onto 4 sheets to make that same size as A3. Ive changed the settings to A3, but that doesnt seem to have worked.

The usual place to change things like that is in the printer driver settings - hunt round in Properties, and the various tabs.
Without knowing what operating system you're running and the printer make and model, I can't be more specific.
Printers that will print on A3 paper are fairly rare, you know!0 -
I`m after a normal printer printing onto 4 sheets pf paper so that it is A£ size. I have windows 7 and an epson sx215.0

Usually you set the page size in your document to A3, then in the printer set paper size to A4 and look for an option called "Print as Tile" or similar.
Epson web page says Tiling requires an application that can manage tiling functions, such as Adobe Illustrator®, Adobe InDesign®, Adobe Acrobat®, Quark XPress®, CorelDRAW®, and others.A kind word lasts a minute, a skelped erse is sair for a day.0 -
Right-click on the picture, select Print and I imagine you get some kind of dialog box prompting you for paper sizes etc.
I usually find the option you're after is called Poster Printing, and it's usually hidden away in one of the sub-options reached from within the print settings dialog box - you just have to look for it.0 -
I have one of those rare printers. It's a HPDJ1220C. Think I've printed to A3 twice in *mumble mumble* years.
Oh, and we still have a HPDJ1220C working, or will have when we've obtained a new colour cartridge.0
