Gatwick Airport North-South Airport Transfer

Does anyone know how quick and easy it is to transfer between the terminals at Gatwick airport? The self-car parking at 'Long Stay South' is £20 cheaper than the parking at 'Long Stay North' and we are flying from the North terminal soon so just playing with an idea

Yes there is a free monorail between the North and South Terminal0

It is really quick to get between them. We recently stayed in a hotel at one even though we were flying out of the other - it only takes a matter of minutes.:A :A :A :A
